R2 presence sensor in ceiling

I have a closet that is 12′ × 12′ with 8′ ceilings. I’m currently using the R1 motion sensor mounted to a wall. After the last firmware update I have not been able to turn down the sensitivity enough for my set up. I thought I would try out the R2 presence sensor and thought the ceiling would be a perfect place for it. Will this negatively affect how the sensor works?

Hi, hanging the sensors from the ceiling won’t affect their sensitivity or the user experience. Just make sure they are securely mounted with a good connection to prevent them from falling.

In the recent R1 firmware update, we adjusted the sensitivity for the lower levels (Level 1-2) to enhance performance in certain cases. Based on feedback, we will make another adjustment and publish a new firmware update ASAP. Thanks for your continued support!
