I have had a Zigbee multi function night light that is used with Hubitat for a bit over a year. It flashes quite often (1) and I’ve read this has been addressed in a firmware update. I’ve also read here that for older firmware versions Hubitat is unable to update; something I’ve seem to be able to confirm since the light will not update.
So, my question is can the firmware be updated via an Amazon echo? Figured I’d ask before requesting a TR hub and/or going through the inconvenience of bringing to a friend’s house that uses Amazon Echos.
(1) The light is near enough to the hub and repeaters that it shouldn’t actually be a connection issue. I’ve also tried moving it just to be sure. The automations utilizing the motion detector still run without issue and the light otherwise works fine. It just flashes quite often and is distracting due to the location it’s placed. Finally, I do see the other thread about this light and flashing when certain grouping and color loop settings are used it might have issues. My light is not grouped nor uses color changes. Just on/off based on motion.
Edited for clarity.
