I have tried in both Home Assistant and HomeKit, and in both the symptom is the same:
- Manually pressing the button will both open and close the garage door successfully
- Using an automation will always fail to open the garage door. The status goes from off (closed) to on (open), but the garage door does not open, ever.
Is this a limitation of the hardware, or is something else going on?
In both cases the automation was very simple: when I arrive home, turn the switch to on. In every instance, the automation triggers, the switch starts in the off state, switches to on, but the door does not open.
