ZigBee USB dongle, permanent red light.

I just got a new USB C zigbee dongle and I was never able to make it work, when I get it connected it has a solid red light, never blue. I’ve tried plugged it to different ports and devices and it’s always the same red light. Used the pin to reset it and nothing. I’ve tried to upgrade the firmware to the latest version and still the same. When plugged it to Home Assistant it’s never recognized but when flashing it did flash with no errors. Any help would be appreciated.

Eddy May I ask whether you need to configure ZHA or Z2M, and did you flash version 21 of the firmware?

zhechen I was not able to configure anything yet, Home Assistant is not even recognizing the dongle… and I followed the GitHub guide and flashed the BLZ > v1.00.12 firmware that is supposed to be the most recent one, right?

Eddy BLZ firmware is intended for BLZ-Z2M. If you’re using ZHA, you should flash the ZIGATE-21 version, which is the correct firmware. The BLZ version won’t be recognized by typical integrations.

I’m having a similar issue, plugging into my home server and also into my pc to try and flash the update but it’s not being recognized. Were you able to figure it out?

jgoldberglewis If you have already flashed to firmware version 21, are you using Z2M or ZHA? Please note that if using Z2M, do not select the BLZ version. During configuration, you need to choose zigate as the adapter.

I have the same issue. Using 1.00.12 firmware with zigbee2mqtt, the dongle has a constant red light. Also Zigbee2MQTT doesn’t show a blz option in Adapter type. Is there something we need to do to get BLZ support? I tried both the mainline and Edge versions of Zigbee2MQTT
